Airport Screener Suspended for "Blatant Friendliness."

Alexandria, VA (BSNE): Officials from the Transportation Safety Administration (TSA) expressed shock and dismay at revelations of TSA airport screener, Terry "Bubby" Smith, was captured live, on closed circuit security cameras, being "opening pleasant, friendly, and cordial to airline passengers. According to federal disciplinary reports, "[Mr Smith] on repeated occasions was observed smiling, giving directions to departure gates, and apologizing for the inconvenience of passengers required to undergo random secondary screening."
Bubby Smith was placed under added security surveillance last November, when he checked "Yes" on a personality screening exam to the question, "I understand I am not a police officer."
"I knew he would be nothing but trouble from the beginning," said Smith's supervisor, Bernard J. Fife IV, of Alexandria. "But this... This... All I can say is he never picked that up in any of my training."
Fife referred to surveillance video showing Smith comforting a four year old girl who did not want to have her teddy bear placed on the conveyor belt to the terminal's x-ray scanning machines. Smith is seen on the video checking the teddy bear for security risks with a hand held paddle scanner, and then allowing the girl to walk through the main metal detector carrying her beloved toy. The young mother and child are seen smiling and waving at Smith as they rushed to their plane, with Smith plainly waving back. Fife explained the official TSA policy would require Smith to, "Make up some kind of rule or something as an excuse to feel up the young mother's t**s. I mean, look at her, he missed a golden opportunity! And, as for the toy, Bubby should have explained that the bear was a toy, not a person, and it was DEAD. You hear me little girl? You friend is DEAD! Get used to life."
TSA officials moved in and suspended Smith without pay, pending further investigation, after another video showed him aiding an elderly women through metal detecting equipment since she could not go through the machine with her walker. Eye witness to the event, and co-worker of Smith's, Art Trenton, said, "You know, I wasn't gonna say anything because in five months I'm going to take my test again and get to be a cop. But, you know we was asking for it. If I was a cop I wouldn't do that on my job. When I'm a cop, I'm going to follow the letter of the law like a cop is supposed to. I might see him in prison after I'm a cop after I take my test again in five months." Trenton is currently studying to take his civil service exam with hopes of joining a local police force in five months time.
